The Trollrik canal

Canal for timber driving between the waters of Gavleån and Testeboån.
Length about 900 meters.

Short history:
The canal was probably dug in 1872 for timber driving between Lake Öjaren and lake Lundbosjön. The first ten years the driving was done in both directions.
After ten years it seems that the driving stopped. But the canal was also used for timber driving from 1926 to 1931, when the last known driving was performed.
After that the canal was abandoned and soon it became impossible to use it. In recent years the canal has been restored and now it's possible to pass in kayaks. But you need to carry the kayak the last bit to Lundbosjön.
